McKenna Files Suit Against BIAW

Following up on our post from earlier this week, Attorney General Rob McKenna filed a lawsuit against the Building Industry Association of Washington for campaign finance violations. The case, along with a related case against the Master Builders of King & Snohomish County, have been assigned to Thurston County Superior Court. Conferences are scheduled for December, so don't expect any relief from the constant barrage of pro-Rossi, anti-Gregoire advertising from BIAW's "Change PAC" in the short run.

A separate lawsuit, brought forward by a couple of BIAW members who object to the associations' far-right agenda, is also pending in Thurston County Superior Court. For more information about that suit, check out this earlier article from the Seattle Weekly. -- Dennis
